Hutchins was pronounced dead following an ATV accident on July 2Sophia Hutchins will soon be laid to rest, but her cause of death has been deferred.

Nearly two weeks after her death, PEOPLE has obtained a death certificate from the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health, indicating that Hutchins, a close friend and manager to Caitlyn Jenner, will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Los Angeles on July 24.

However, Hutchins’ cause of death has been deferred and the investigation is ongoing.The update comes shortly after Hutchins died in an ATV accident. She was 29.

Hutchins — who served as CEO and director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation — was pronounced dead on the morning of Wednesday, July 2, in Malibu, Calif., TMZ reported at the time.

She was driving an ATV down a road near Jenner’s Malibu home when she crashed into the bumper of a moving vehicle carrying two passengers, the outlet reported. The ATV was forced over the shoulder and fell 350 feet down into a ravine.

Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department shared additional details about the incident in an interview with the Daily Mail.

Saucedo, who is based at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, told the outlet that Hutchins is believed to have been traveling at a rapid speed on Decker Canyon Road, near Jenner’s Malibu home, in a 2013 Polaris when she hit a gray 2016 Mazda 6.

“It looks like she may have been speeding and rear-ended the other car, the other party, and then that caused her to veer to the right and go off the cliff,” Saucedo explained at the time. “It doesn’t seem like she was following them. I think she just came up on them and then hit the car.”

The sergeant noted Hutchins attempted to maneuver around the Mazda — which was being driven by a local realtor who was showing a house in the area — but was simply traveling too fast.

“So it looked like she tried to maneuver to go around it, but she was going too fast and just ended up clipping the rear end of that Mazda, causing her to veer off and go off the cliff there,” he told the Daily Mail.The driver and passenger in the Mazda were uninjured, while Jenner, 75, was at the accident site when authorities were on the scene, Saucedo said.

Following the accident, Saucedo told the outlet that a search and rescue team rappelled down the side of the cliff to recover Hutchins’ body, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The ATV was left at the bottom of the ravine because the tow company “didn’t have a line that was long enough to attach it and pull it up.”

Hutchins — who was the founder and CEO of health technology company LUMASOL — and Jenner met in 2015 when the television personality announced her transition. They quickly bonded, with the Pepperdine University graduate later praising Jenner for pushing her to grow. Hutchins went on to appear in multiple episodes of Jenner’s former E! reality series I Am Cait.“We have so much in common; we see the world so similarly and we both are such a good match for each other because we challenge each other,” the Washington native once said of their relationship in an interview with The Hidden Truth with Jim Breslo. “She challenges me in so many ways, has allowed me to grow in so many ways and I hope I challenge her to grow and I think because we share so many of the same passions and views, it’s just a great match, a great partnership.”
