“I think it was fake. I’ve seen a few videos on Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn’t happen,” she says. “He says it all the time now, in interviews. Maybe we should find Buzz Aldrin,” – Kim Kardashian

Even in the era of Artemis, old myths about the Moon landings still reach for the stars—this time, with a celebrity twist.
Kim Kardashian recently questioned the reality of NASA’s historic 1969 Apollo 11 Moon landing, citing misinterpreted remarks from astronaut Buzz Aldrin. On her TV show, Kardashian referenced a quote suggesting Aldrin denied the event, but careful review reveals no such admission. Aldrin, who alongside Neil Armstrong helped set foot on the lunar surface, described only technical incidents—not a fabricated mission.
NASA quickly came forward. Acting administrator Sean Duffy emphasized, “Yes, we’ve been to the Moon before—six times!” and spotlighted the ongoing Artemis program, which will return astronauts to the Moon using cutting-edge spacecraft and international collaboration.
The Apollo missions (1969–1972) saw twelve humans walk the Moon, covering 384,400 km from Earth, acquiring lunar rocks, and developing technologies later used across science and industry.
