Mike Tyson had a gracious response when asked about the rumors about his connection to Diddy and involvement in the rapper’s freak-off parties
Mike Tyson wished Diddy the ‘best’ in October just before the rapper’s third bail application was rejected. Tyson was responding to questions about his alleged association with Diddy when he shared the bizarre message of support to the disgraced music mogul. The boxer was shocked to learn about the rumors connecting him to Diddy in the wake of the latter’s arrest.

Tyson and Diddy have known each other for a long time, with Tyson calling Diddy “awesome” in a previous interview. Tyson even jokingly referred to the Last Night singer as “Sugar Diddy,” adding that they both attended each other’s parties.

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are about to face each other in a high-profile match. Both Tyson and Paul have run into previous controversies, but Tyson appears to be the nicer one out of the two. The boxing legend’s one comment last month quickly caught attention as he responded to the rumors surrounding Diddy‘s arrest and his involvement with the rapper.
Tyson didn’t disassociate himself from Diddy when asked about the rumors. He was shocked that his name had been dragged into the ongoing scandal. Speaking to Daily Mail, Tyson expressed his surprise, sharing, “Wait I’m synonymous with Diddy? Well, that’s cool. I never knew that.” He also wished the disgraced hip-hop mogul the best in a rather bizarre comment.
When asked if he had anything to say about Diddy being incarcerated, Tyson shared, “I wish him the best. In life, I wish him the best.” However, Diddy is not having his best after he was arrested on September 16 and continues to spend his time behind bars. He has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in pr*stitution.
Tyson’s comments may have come from his experience of spending three years in jail. He had an arrogant demeanor back in the day and got into legal trouble all the time. In 1992, he was charged with the rape and assault of a former beauty pageant contestant, Desiree Washington. He was convicted and sentenced to six years in prison. He got out after serving half of the sentence.
Tyson maintains his innocence to this day. He occasionally shares his experience of spending time in jail. His message of support might’ve had something to do with his three-year-long experience.
Mike Tyson Knew Diddy For A Long Time
During his appearance on the PBD Podcast last year, Mike Tyson detailed his relationship with Diddy. When Patrick Bet-David mentioned that “so many people in music and Hollywood feared this guy Diddy”, Tyson responded by calling the rapper “sugar Diddy”.
He shared that he had known Diddy for a long time. He recalled that Diddy had attended his after-parties and that he too attended Diddy’s parties. Tyson shared on the PBD Podcast:
I just know him for a long time. Awesome guy. I knew him before he was Diddy and for a long time. When I first became champ I knew him. I remember him he used to have crates when he’s at my after parties and stuff. Also when they were throwing parties.
Tyson’s match with Jake Paul was supposed to happen on July 20, but it was postponed due to Tyson’s health complications. The bout was then rescheduled for November 15.
