Kylian Mbappe has confirmed he will be receiving a figure at Madame Tussauds London this year.
A first waxwork of the Real Madrid superstar went on display at Madame Tussauds Berlin last year, and now there is one heading to the English capital just in time for the Easter holidays in April.
Mbappe’s figure will go in the Culture Capital zone alongside fellow football icons Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham, as well as seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Mbappe has expressed his delight at getting his own figure at the iconic London venue after working with artists to get the project over the line.
‘I’ve been collaborating with Madame Tussauds London for a few months now and I’m so excited to see the finished figure that’ll join the London line up!’ he said.
‘I was blown away by the Madame Tussauds Berlin’s figure, it looks so much like me that it’s almost unsettling – and now, there will be another one!

General Manager at Madame Tussauds London, Steve Blackburn, added: ‘Kylian Mbappé is one of the biggest names in men’s international football, spearheading two iconic teams: France and Real Madrid. We feel like we’ve hit the back of the net being able to work directly with the star to craft his figure!
‘Working with Mbappé throughout the making of his first Madame Tussauds London figure has been amazing – he’s been so patient while we’ve been asking him to sit still for the sitting when he’s so used to being active and running around the pitch!
‘We can’t wait to welcome fans from across the globe to strike a pose alongside this footballing superstar.’
It has also been announced that any child under the age of 16 wearing an official Mbappe shirt will gain free entry to the attraction.
This includes a French national team shirt, Real Madrid, PSG or Monaco, where Mbappe started his illustrious career.
Now plying his trade at Madrid, Mbappe has started to find his feet in Spain after making a slow start following his free transfer last summer.

The World Cup winner has 21 goals in 33 appearances this season, and has a huge week ahead of him on the pitch.
Madrid have a derby against Atletico on Saturday, with just one point currently separating the top two in LaLiga.
They will then travel to England to take on Manchester City in the Champions League next Tuesday, as the two European giants aim to book their spot in the last-16 of the competition.
