Jennifer Lopez is directing those afflicted by the Los Angeles fires to a resource close to the heart.

Lopez, 55, shared a post directing readers to the Boys & Girls Club, which is offering ‘safe spaces and support’ for children and their families during the disaster.

Lopez, who attended the club as a teenager and became a spokesperson in 2010, wrote on Instagram: ‘My heart goes out to everyone affected by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. I can’t even imagine how deeply traumatic these events can be, especially for children who’ve lost their homes and sense of security.

‘During times like these, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Los Angeles are here to provide support, resources, and a safe space for kids and families in need.

‘The Boys and Girls Club of America was where I found solace and refuge so often in my own childhood. It’s a place where kids can feel safe, cared for, and empowered, even during the hardest times. Please visit the link in my bio for more information on how to reach out or visit your local club to find help, connection, and hope. Together, we’ll rebuild stronger.’

It comes as Jennifer canceled all her upcoming media appearances amid the catastrophic wildfires ravaging Los Angeles, according to a new report.

The post included a list of LA-area Boys & Girls Clubs

So far, the California fires have killed at least 16 people, and wiped out an estimated 40,300 acres of land, 12,300 homes and other structures. They have also caused around $57 billion in economic damage and forced 180,000 people to evacuate.

The Palisades Fire is the largest of the Los Angeles wildfires, burning through 23,707 acres – while the Eaton Fire in Pasadena is the deadliest blaze, accounting for 11 deaths, scorching 14,117 acres. The Hurst Fire in the City of Los Angeles is 76 percent contained.

On Saturday it emerged that the crisis prompted Lopez to scrap her publicity rounds for her movie Unstoppable, which arrives on Amazon Prime next Friday.

‘It’s important to her to focus on supporting the community of Los Angeles during this very difficult time,’ a source close to her told People

Unstoppable is a biopic starring Jharrel Jerome as one-legged wrestling champion Anthony Robles, with Lopez playing his mother Judy.

The movie was scheduled to have a premiere at Hollywood’s iconic TCL Chinese Theatre on Tuesday, but the event was called off in light of the wildfires.

Next week, Lopez was due to fly to New York to promote the film on shows like Live With Kelly And Mark, Today, The View and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

However she is said to have canceled her trip entirely in order to devote her attention to assisting the fire relief efforts in Los Angeles.

Last week, she posted Insta Stories detailing ‘resources to help those impacted,’ including information about shelter locations and animal care.

She has reportedly been ‘checking in’ with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, and his children Violet, 19, Fin, 16, and Samuel, 12, amid the deadly wildfires.

The actress is said to have felt ‘worried and concerned’ after learning that her former spouse and his family were among those under evacuation orders.

A source told Page Six that she ‘reached out as soon as she heard about Ben’s home possibly being in danger and that he was evacuated’ and to see how he was coping during the ‘whole ordeal.’
