James Spader to reprise role in Marvel’s new ‘WandaVision’ spinoff series, ‘Vision’

James Spader is going to make a comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Emmy-winning star, who first voiced the character in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, is slated to reprise his role and the voice of robotic villain Ultron in Marvel Studios’ untitled, upcoming Vision series, a spin-off show to its hit WandaVision series.

Paul Bettany is set to return to play his character of Vision, the android who was destroyed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War after it fell in love with the Scarlett Witch.

However, the character returned in WandaVision, through magic and Wanda’s husband, and also as a white rebuilt android.

The show is currently being referred to by Vision Quest, an unofficial title.

The show is intended to be the third instalment of a trilogy that began with WandaVision and will conclude with Agatha All Along, which will make its Disney+ debut in September. Early in 2025, a shoot in England is planned for the new show.

Spader has a long career in Hollywood, with credit from both the big and the small screen.

The actor has movies like Sex, Lies and Videotape and Pretty in Pink as big credits on his resume along with Boston Legal for the Television.

The latter even earned him awards and TV achievements.
