The haunting video went viral on TikTok last year
Even when you reach adulthood, staying home alone can still have you jumping at every little noise and paranoid someone could be lurking in the darkness.
And this video of a man dancing alone in his home is certainly not going to help those fears.
Sitting at home, alone and bored is a bit tiresome – so what better thing to do than jumping on an online trend by having a boogie?
You may think all is well when creating a TikTok video, but it’s only until you watch it back something is seriously wrong.
TikTok user Reu – known as @reu_music – scrolled through his comments to find out that there was something creepy in the background of his video.
With the help of his trusted followers, Reu came to a conclusion that left him feeling ‘stomach sick’.
He captioned the seemingly innocent dance video: “lmao i’m home alone so i learned a tiktok dance. lov u doja but what has my life come to?”, but little did he know that there was an uninvited guest lurking in the corner.

In the clip, he can be seen dancing along to Doja Cat’s ‘Say So’, but his moves weren’t the only thing to stand out, it’s what was chilling on the top of the stairs that stole the show.
As the Canadian TikToker shifts position and starts swinging his arms around, the figure appears to pop its head around the corner for a second.
His followers spotted the creeper and immediately commented below.
One person wrote: “The AMOUNT OF ANXIETY I have from his video. That’s someone literally poking their head TO LOOK AT YOU.”
Another asked: “DID Y’ALL SEE THAT?? IN THE BACKGROUND???”
While one more wrote: “It’s 3am I did not need this right now,” and another person said: ‘When I tell you my heart DROPPED.”
Reu later posted some follow-up videos to keep everyone in the loop about the situation, initially thanking them for their concern saying: “I’m kinda stomach sick right now and I was in and out of sleep all last night.”
Yep, that is pretty scary. (TikTok/@reu_music)
The TikTok star later told UNILAD that while he was worried at first about the possibility that the figure ‘could have been a person’, he ruled it out after he and his family ‘checked the entire house.’
“There’s really nowhere for anyone to hide,” he said in a follow-up interview.
The content creator also responded to claims he made the whole thing up for attention, telling UNILAD: “If I were to manufacture a video just to go viral, I would have perfected the dance or at least made myself look a bit more presentable.”
