The case of a 38-year-old man pretending to be a woman and having intimate relationships with 1,691 young men is causing a stir in China.

Chinese media reported that authorities have just arrested a man who dressed as a woman in Nanjing – called Hong Ty. This person wore a wig, built a female image to date and interact intimately with about 1,691 men. Even while being with many men, the subject mentioned in the incident recorded a video.

Currently, the incident is causing a stir on Chinese social networks with a lot of attention and discussion. A series of posts related to Hong Ty have occupied social media space in the country of a billion people.

According to Jiangning Police (Nanjing), Hong Ty’s real name is Jiao, from another province who came to Nanjing to live and work. Hong Ty used to have a family but his wife passed away, and his children are abroad. The subject confessed that he did so only because he was lonely and wanted someone to confide in.

On the morning of July 8, the police denied the information that Hong Ty was an uncle around 60 years old. The latest announcement from the investigation agency said that Hong Ty was only about 38 years old.

To carry out the plan, Hong Ty created a social media account, using carefully edited photos to impress others. On her profile, Hong Ty noted that she was divorced and wanted to find a new partner.

Every day, Hong Ty would post videos of her daily life with heavy makeup, a wig, and breast implants. The subject lived as a woman for a long time, cross-dressing and imitating voices skillfully. After getting to know the men, Hong Ty would proactively flirt with the boys and then make an appointment.

When visiting their homes, these men had to bring gifts to Hong Ty. Some people discovered that their online girlfriends were scammers but continued their relationship. Meanwhile, some others disagreed and left.

The incident not only caused a stir in China but also attracted attention in many Asian countries.
