Astronomer has denied the attendance of a second employee at a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts, where CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot dodged the kiss cam together
Astronomer is pushing back against rumors swirling online that one of its employees was caught alongside CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot in a viral concert video.Footage from Coldplay’s recent show in Foxborough, Massachusetts, showed Byron and Cabot appearing cozy before scrambling to hide when the camera panned to them on the jumbotron. Speculation centered not just on the pair, but online detectives claimed a red-faced woman near them was Alyssa Stoddard, a recently promoted Astronomer staffer. The company says that’s false. “Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video,” Astronomer said in a statement. The company added, “Andy Byron has not put out any statement, reports saying otherwise are all incorrect.”Stoddard, who joined the company only months ago, became the target of online backlash after social media users misidentified her as the woman standing by the couple.
Her LinkedIn announcement post, celebrating her new role, was flooded with harsh comments. “Way to go! You were hired to keep the secrets and failed five months into the job,” one person wrote.
