Past comments from Kim Soo Hyun, who has been alleged to be the late Kim Sae Ron’s former romantic partner, have become a topic of discussion.
Kim Soo Hyun’s controversial statement emerged during a showcase for the film Secretly, Greatly in May 2013.
At the time, when asked “At what age would you like to get married?” Kim Soo Hyun replied, “I made life plans when I was 25. While thinking about how I would make a living in the future, I planned to get married at 36. But I don’t think I can keep that plan.” Kim Soo Hyun was 25 years old at that time.
He then added, “Now I’m thinking about marrying a 21-year-old when I’m about 41,” to which host Kim Tae Jin responded, “Kindergarteners across the country will be excited hearing this.”
Yesterday, the late Kim Sae Ron’s family stated in an interview with HoverLab Inc., “It is true that Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron were in a relationship. They dated for 6 years. Kim Sae Ron did all the work without getting paid to help establish Gold Medalist (Kim Soo Hyun’s agency), but they discarded her like an old shoe.”
In addition, the family revealed writings left by the late Kim Sae Ron. She wrote, “The photo that was uploaded to (Instagram) Story is from 2016, and the relationship lasted from November 2016 to July 2021,” adding, “I was 15 years old, and the other person (Kim Soo Hyun) was 27. That’s how our 6-year relationship ended.”
The late Kim Sae Ron was born in 2000, making her 12 years younger than Kim Soo Hyun, born in 1988. Last March, Kim Sae Ron posted a photo of herself cheek-to-cheek with Kim Soo Hyun on her Instagram but deleted it shortly after.
