Infamous music mogul Diddy appeared with Justin Bieber on a late-night talk show in 2011.
“What’s going on with you two? Do you work together?” Kimmel asked in the clip that’s gone viral following Diddy’s serious legal troubles.
The former Bad Boy Records CEO replied: “No. We became friends in a weird way,” before adding: “Justin was like a little brother… He wasn’t afraid to call me and ask for advice.”
The Bad Boy for Life rapper explained that the music industry is “a strong family” and many people, including himself, want to “take care” of Justin Bieber to “protect him” because he is “a good person.”
Diddy continued to praise the Somebody to Love singer : “Besides being talented, he’s also one of the coolest kids I’ve ever known.”
Justin Bieber thanked the Tell Me rapper for his remarks as the audience applauded throughout the segment. Kimmel suggested that Diddy should perhaps buy the young singer a car like he did for his son.
“He promised me a Lamborghini but I still haven’t got it,” the Never Say Never singer interjected, causing Diddy to look away in annoyance.
“Justin drove the Lamborghini for a day or two,” the Last Night rapper said, apparently referring to the time the two spent 48 hours together, according to a YouTube video Bieber posted.

“He knows better than to talk about what he did to his big brother on national television. Not everything is told to everyone,” Combs added.
When Diddy and Bieber spent two days together in 2009, the Coming Home singer told Justin they were “going to go crazy.”
“We can’t say where we hang out or what we do, but it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream,” Diddy added in the YouTube video.
Amid the sex crime scandal, another clip of Diddy and Bieber resurfaced online, showing Bieber appearing to be very upset with some of Diddy’s statements.
“When you sell out shows, you act differently. Why don’t you call me and hang out like we always do?” Diddy said in the video.
Bieber is then seen holding his phone and replying: “I tried to contact you through all my partners because you never took my number, do you want my number?”.
However, the singer’s rep recently said that while Bieber (now 30) is “aware of Diddy’s arrest and all the allegations” he “just wants to focus on being a great father and husband”.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, who chaired the press conference, warned that “many powerful people” would be exposed in connection with Diddy’s wrongdoings, claiming the names would “shock” the public.
Diddy is awaiting trial behind bars. A court date has not yet been set.
