Bach was found dead in her home on Wednesday after her family members reported being unable to contact her. She died by suicide, reports TMZ, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hasselhoff, who was married to Bach from 1989 to 2006, shared a statement on behalf of their family.
“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult period but kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”
The pair shared two daughters, Hayley and Taylor Ann. They met on the set of “Knight Rider,” one of Hasselhoff’s most iconic roles.
Pamela’s representative Sharon Kelly shared a statement of her own, sending her thoughts to her family.
“My heart goes out to her family, her beautiful daughters and granddaughter who Pamela constantly gushes about and loves so dearly. Pamela often talked about how very proud she was of both her daughters and what they have blossomed into. She was a ‘Proud Mama’!”

Bach had a lengthy career in film and television. She had a recurring role in “Baywatch,” where she co-starred alongside Hasselhoff and stars like Pamela Anderson and Carmen Elektra. She appeared throughout the show’s 10-season run.
Bach also starred in TV shows like “The Young and the Restless” and “Cheers.” Her most recent performance was in the horror film “Mansion of Blood,” which came out in 2015.
In October of last year, she welcomed a grandchild and shared her excitement on social media. “I Never Knew a LOVE like THIS,” she wrote on Instagram. “Its Powerful, Pure, Unconditional LOVE I Have Deep in my Soul and Being as I do for my Precious and Perfect GrandDaughter.”
