David Hasselhoff’s family is mourning the loss of a loved one.

The Knight Rider actor’s ex-wife Pamela Bach Hasselhoff has died, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office. She was 62.

After not hearing from her, law enforcement sources told TMZ, family members requested a welfare check to Pamela’s Los Angeles home. Upon arrival March 5, paramedics reported finding the actress’ body.

David and Pamela, who were married from 1989 to 2006, had a contentious divorce, after which spousal support disagreements extended for over a decade. But despite their differences, the two—who share daughters Taylor Hasselhoff-Fiore, 34, and Hayley Hasselhoff, 32—were family nonetheless.

And following his ex’s tragic death, the 72-year-old expressed his grief.

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” David said in a March 6 statement to TMZ. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

Even after their initial split, Pamela made it clear that she would always cherish her relationship with David and the time they spent together.

“I’ve always loved him and always will,” she told The Associated Press in 2006, “and have love and compassion for him. It’s a very, very sad day, but a day to move on.”

Seven months before her passing, the two had become grandparents when their oldest daughter Taylor gave birth to a baby girl named London. And on New Year’s Eve, Pamela expressed just how excited she was for the year ahead with the family’s new addition.

“As we step into 2025, my heart is full of gratitude, especially for my precious grandbaby, London,” Pamela wrote on Instagram. “Watching her grow and seeing her smile light up my world is truly the greatest blessing. My wish for all of you this year is health, happiness, and an abundance of love.”

“May 2025 be filled with beautiful moments, laughter, and all the blessings your hearts can hold,” she continued. “Here’s to a year of making cherished memories, spreading joy, and embracing every precious moment!”
