As surveillance video of Diddy physically abusing his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura was released on Friday, May 17, Jaden Smith started trending on social media all of a sudden. A long X post by @JoshWhoX on May 18 claimed Jaden Smith revealed something that further fueled the controversies involving Diddy.
The user said a few weeks ago, Jaden made public statements about his father Will Smith forcing him to engage in s*xual activities with other men at parties hosted by Diddy. A video was added to the post with several separate clips compiled together.
The very first clip was of Jaden seemingly crying. While the X post did not accurately disclose what Jaden said, the user claimed he shared some intriguing and unsettling details about the relationship between Justin Bieber and Diddy. The video also included a clip from supposedly 14 years ago, when Justin, a teenager, was new to the music industry.

The narration stated Diddy made some grand promises to the young Canadian all those years ago, which raised questions about the nature of their conversations and the implications behind such promises. In one of the clips, Diddy showed one of his cars to a young Justin and told him he would get it when he turned 16.
However, the authenticity of these claims is unfounded as Jaden Smith’s crying video shared in the post is from February 15, 2023. The Karate Kid star uploaded the video on Instagram last year as a gesture to thank his fans for their support and appreciation.
Link between Jaden Smith’s crying video and Diddy’s ongoing controversies debunked
No statement has come from Jaden Smith accusing his father Will Smith of forcing him to participate in unwanted activities in the past few weeks. The video of him crying also has no connection with the mountain of allegations against Diddy.
Jaden posted the video last year to give a nod to his fans. He wrote:
“I Love My Fans I Love Our Journeys This Family is Our Fortress. I Should write something about emotions and how they’re okay or whatever but honestly I just found this video in my phone.”
The Community Note under @JoshWhoX’s tweet also refutes the claims made on this post. One of the earliest traces of the video shared on this post was found on YouTube on April 24, 2024. Viral Vision posted the video on the platform, bringing up similar allegations against Will Smith.
However, Jaden Smith did not release any statement about his father or Diddy around that time. Thus, this claim is being declared as false.
